Pippi is adored by children, and people of all ages consider her a role model and a symbol for independence and anti-authoritarianism to this day. With her mismatched stockings, carrot-coloured hair and freckly face, not to mention super-human strength and resilience, Pippi Longstocking has become a cultural icon.
