Health Living Ambassador

Let's become a "Health Living Ambassador"!

Despite various challenges in everyday life, Girl Guides can always tackle them and build their own healthy and positive life. The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association is now launching a programme ‘Health Living Ambassador’, as to raise awareness of individual’s health and well-being. The duration of the programme is 2 years (i.e. until 31 August 2022). The programme allows Girl Guides members to learn from home and understand more about Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) of the United Nation, stressing the importance of sharing positivity with people around us, hence to create a positive and harmonious community.

You will learn from the following 3 areas：

Personal Hygiene
Physical and Mental Health
Care Your Community

After completing the different tasks of the above 3 areas, you will become a "Health Living Ambassador" and continue to spread the message of healthy life to others.

SDG3: Good Health and Well-being

The "Health Living Ambassador" programme is focused on SDG3: Good Health and Well-being. Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages is important to building prosperous societies. All Girl Guides can have good health and raise awareness in their community about the importance of healthy lifestyles, hence make a difference in her community and the wider world. Together all Girl Guides can help to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals!

How to earn your "Health Living Ambassador" cloth badge?

At this stage, the programme is implemented through Google Classroom. You can also wait for the Word/PDF version of the programme and send us your work. Please stay tuned for the update in the second stage.

2 classrooms are created for “Brownie” and “Guide, Ranger and Guider” respectively. Whether you are Brownie, Guide, Ranger or Guider, you can also join the classroom accordingly and complete the tasks as an individual. After joining the classroom, you need to read the information "How to earn the "Health Living Ambassador" Badge" inside the Google Classroom to understand the requirements of the tasks. You can complete the tasks on your own pace and sequence, and fill in the application form once you completed all the tasks.

Remark: Each member can only redeem one badge. For Brownie and Guide, the cloth badge could be worn on the front of the sash, or on either side of the sleeves of the uniform. For Ranger and Guider, the cloth badge could be kept as a reward on completion of the challenge.

How to join Google Classroom and submit classwork?

Step 1: Please sign up for a Google Personal Account. (If you have had a google account before, please skip this step.)

Step 2: Please log in Google Classroom with your personal account and access Google Classroom through https://classroom.google.com.

Step3: Please click [+] at the top-right corner of the webpage, and click [Join class]

Please enter class code and click [Join].

Step 4: Please click [Classwork] at the top of the webpage.

Step 5: If there are reading materials provided, please read the materials beforehand. Then, click [Quiz] and finish the google form attached.
