Join the Programme Team of

HKGG 105th Anniversary International Camp to

Organise a Programme #ForHer

 

As part of the HKGG 105th anniversary celebrations, an international camp will be held in December 2021. You are invited to join the Programme Team to organise activities for the participants of the Camp.

 

The Programme Team is comprised of 4 sub-teams, namely “On-site and Day Camp Programme”, “Off-site Programme”, “Ceremonies and Night Programme” and “Special Programme”. Each has its own Team Lead, Assistant Team Lead and Team Members. All Guiding members aged 18-30 are welcome to join!

Details of the Programme Team:

Being part of the Programme Team, you will
  • Join the Orangising Committee delivering a key event of the HKGG 105th anniversary celebrations and making a difference to the experience of girls and young women around the globe
  • Develop new skills and create networks with people from all walks of life
  • Boost your confidence and positive energy
  • Complete ONE service as being a Committee Member towards item 5 of the Ranger Bauhinia Badge Award (applicable to Rangers only)

Target

Rangers and Guiders who are 18-30 years old and possess the following qualities:

Team Leads and Assistant Team Leads

  • Interested in international camps
  • Proactive
  • Willing to lead
  • Good at communication and collaboration

Team Members

  • Interested in international camps
  • Proactive
  • Creative
  • Eager to communicate and collaborate

Roles and Responsibilities

Team Leads and Assistant Team Leads

  • Attend Programme Team meetings
  • Using the Girl Guide and Girl Scout educational method (5M), lead the sub-team to organise a quality (REAL) programme that enables campers to develop skills for life (6C)
  • Submit sub-team reports
  • Work closely with the Deputy Camp Commandant and Assistant Camp Commandants of the Programme Team

Team Members

  • Attend Programme Team meetings
  • Contribute ideas to the sub-team
  • Assist in the programme during the Camp
  • Work closely with the Team Lead and Assistant Team Lead

Working language

Cantonese and/or English

Commitment

December 2020 to January 2022

Estimated hours of voluntary work:

  • December 2020 to June 2021: 4-6 hours per month, including a monthly Programme Team meeting
  • July 2021 to December 2021: 6-8 hours per month, including a monthly Programme Team meeting
  • January 2022: evaluation meeting

Camp fee

Volunteers also need to pay the camp fee. The amount is to be confirmed.

  2. Applicants must attend the online interview on 8 December 7:00 pm-10:00 pm (around 15 minutes)
  3. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email and must attend the first Programme Team meeting on 10 December 7:00 pm-10:00 pm
