'GREEN. GO. ART' City Orienteering Fun Day
"GREEN. GO. ART" is an orienteering event designed for youth and families. Aims to encourage participants to explore Sha Tin Park and its surrounding community through physical and mental challenges, discovering hidden stories and cultural treasures, while infusing vibrant energy into the community.
The Orienteering Fun Day is divided into two formats: cross-country and score. Participants can choose the appropriate method based on their interests and fitness levels. Orienteering aims to test participants' navigation skills, physical endurance, and teamwork spirit.
Carnival

Orienteering Competition
Date: April 5, 2025 (Saturday)
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm
Competition Duration: 1.5 hours
Location: New Territories, Sha Tin Park and its surroundings
Start and Award Ceremony: Sha Tin Park
Registration Fee: Score: $100 per team / Cross-country: $50 per person (includes participation certificate, souvenir, and insurance)
Orienteering Competition Briefing
To help participants better understand the competition rules, each participant/team may send a member to the briefing arranged by the organizers.

Time: 7pm to 9pm
Location: Hong Kong Girl Guides Association Headquarters (8 Castle Peak Road, Kowloon)

Rules:
Score: Teams must visit designated orienteering points within the specified time using the map provided by the organizers. Each team member must complete the tasks at each point to earn specific points. The team with the highest total score in each group wins; if scores are tied, the team that completes the course in the shortest time wins.
Cross-Country: Participants must visit all control points displayed on the map in sequence within the specified time. The winner is the participant who takes the least time.
Awards
Each group will have a champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up, with awarded participants receiving medals. If fewer than five participants register in a group, only a champion will be awarded.

Notes:
- Once accepted, all registration fees are non-refundable.
- Teams cannot change categories or adjust participants after the briefing.
- The organizers reserve the right to cancel the competition due to inclement weather or other emergencies, and all registration fees are non-refundable.
- If participants are found to have falsified personal information, the organizers have the right to disqualify them.
- The organizers reserve the final decision on any disputes.
- Participants must agree to comply with the participant guidelines and regulations.
- Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until full. All registrations are subject to the receipt of completed forms and fees. Incomplete registrations will not be processed.
- Registration results and notifications will be emailed after the deadline.
- If a tropical cyclone warning signal No. 3 or above, a yellow, red, or black rainstorm warning, or school closure announced by the Education Bureau is issued two hours before the event, it will be postponed or canceled. - The Association reserves the right to make final decisions on all activities, including changes to the terms and conditions, awards, and other arrangements without prior notice.
- Any temporary changes or cancellations regarding the event will be announced on the organizers' website. The organizers reserve the right to modify and interpret the above rules.
