Sham Shui Po Division -Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance Visit
Purpose: To let young Brownie, Girl Guide, Ranger and Guiders/leaders in Sham Shui Po District know the special activities of local traditional festivals. Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance culture started in 1880 and has a history of 140 years.This event provides an in-depth understanding of the historical stories related to the Fire Dragon Dance and the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as the special features of watching the Fire Dragon Dance.
Date: 18 February, 2024 (Sunday)
Location: Tai Hang Fire Dragon Cultural Center (12 School Street, Tai Hang, Hong Kong)
Assembling place: Sports Ground Road, Exit A, Prince Edward MTR Station (please arrive at 1:30 pm, latecomers will not be accommodated)
Time: 2:00 pm to 5:45 pm
Target: Brownie, Girl Guide, Ranger and Guiders/leaders of all groups in Sham Shui Po District aged 8 or above
Quota: 20 people (First come, first served)
Fee: HK$100 per participant (part of the fee has been subsidized by Sham Shui Po District Association)
Activity introduction: (A) 1-hour guided tour in the museum (including building conservation and Tai Hang fire dragon dance culture)
(B) 1.5 hours guided tour of Tai Hang heritage sites and communities
(C) Hakka Tea Cake Workshop (Please note: Contains peanuts)
Clothing: Outdoor uniform, dark blue or black trousers and sports shoes
Other equipment: 1. Bring food boxes, drinking water, and water bottles
2. Sunscreen and rain gear
3. Those with shoulder-length hair must be tied up with elastic bands.

Arrangements for bad weather: If the Observatory issues amber or above, rainstorm warning signal or typhoon signal No. 3 or above two hours before the event, the event will be cancelled.
Remarks: 1. Each participant must fill in the "Parent/Guardian Consent Form" or "Participant Consent Form" (see attachment, you need to make a copy by yourself)
2. The admission list can be found on the federation’s website (the information is updated every Wednesday and Friday)
