HKGGA Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth Sharing Session
To provide more opportunities for young people to participate in policy discussions, the current-term Government has been committed to appointing more young people to government advisory committees. Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth (“MSSY”) have been regularized and expanded to more committees.
Hong Kong Girl Guides has always supported young people in raising their voices and contributing to the community. To encourage our members to participate in the MSSY, we are going to organized a Sharing Session on 22nd March 2023 (Wednesday) at 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. We are pleased to have Ms. Shiu Yin-ning, who was appointed through the "Youth Self-recommendation Scheme," share her experience and contributions as a member of a government consultation committee at the headquarters on March 22 from 7:00 to 7:30 pm.

Information on MSSY
Background of Ms Shiu Yin Ning, Elaine
Ms Shiu has been successfully self-nominated as a member of Small and Medium Enterprises Committee through MSSY. She is a young entrepreneur who started her first company when she was a Year 2 student. Currently managing five, respectively involved in trading, jewelry, cultural creativity, tourism and pet technology industries. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Entrepreneurial Management. During the sharing session, Ms Shiu will share her experience and contribution as a member of government advisory committees.
Through the sharing, HYAB aims to deliver the message that MSSY provides young people with opportunity to self-nominate to government advisory committees, which is a precious and rewarding experience for them. And young people may contribute to Hong Kong’s development on various fronts by joining government advisory committees though MSSY. Hoping to encourage young people to join MSSY.
