The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant "Intergenerational Responsible Citizenship Project” — Overnight Camp

Two Overnight Camps will be held respectively in the year of 2017-18 and 2018-19. The 2017-18 Overnight Camp was successfully held in February 2018. The 2018-19 Overnight Camp will be held between April 2018 and February 2019.

 

Purpose:

  • Through various camp activities, the participants can enjoy out-of-doors activities , contact with Girl Guides members from different sections, and make new friends;
  • The participants from different sections and different backgrounds will be divided into a few small groups. Through outdoor exploration and competitive games, the participants learn how to get along with different generations, thus promotes inter-generational harmony.
  • Encourgage efficient communication between the younger generation and the elderly,  achieve harmony through increased mutual understanding, and spread out the message of being responsible citizens.

 

Details of the Activity: Details of the 2018-19 Overnight Camp will be announced after July 2018.

 

Eligibility:

  • Brownie Units, Guide Units, Ranger Units and Golden Guide Units of the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association are eligible to join
  • Golden Guides: Nominated by Leaders, and the participant must be aged 80 or below.
  • Brownies: Nominated by Guiders, and the participant must be aged 9 or above.
