The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association (HKGGA) is recruiting young women representatives for the “Youths for Inclusion Starts with You and I” programme organised by Girl Guides Singapore (GGS), which comprises a virtual pre-programme and a physical programme in Singapore from 21 to 24 December 2023. As an inclusive programme, HKGGA will run a pre-programme to prepare its members before the trip. HKGGA participants are also expected to complete a Community Impact Project within Hong Kong after the trip to Singapore, which can be counted towards service hours and requirements for the Ranger Bauhinia Badge and the Service Flash (Gold) for Guides section.

Programme Background & Objective

This Young Women event focuses on exploring and advocating for diversity and inclusiveness in the workforce with a special emphasis on people with disabilities (PWDs) and cultural harmony (in race and religion). The programme will cover two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 10.2: Promoting Universal Social Inclusion.

Participants will be equipped with crucial knowledge and skills to be custodians of work-life balance and wellbeing. They will also learn to be advocates for diversity and inclusiveness in their own workplaces as the future leaders of tomorrow. With participants from several Member Organisations in the Asia Pacific Region, this programme will also provide a space for cross-cultural learning and collaboration to foster bonds, connectedness, and cohesiveness between youths in Asia.
