Hong Kong Girl Guides 110th Anniversary Slogan Design Competition

In 2026, we proudly celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Girl Guiding Movement in Hong Kong – a century-long legacy of empowering girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible global citizens. Anchored in our vision of nurturing confident and passionate change-makers through one’s Guiding journey, we remain deeply committed to inspiring Girl Guides to spark positive and meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.

To commemorate this significant milestone and foster wider engagement across our vibrant Guiding community, we are delighted to launch the “Hong Kong Girl Guides 110th Anniversary Slogan Competition”, inviting all members – Happy Bees, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Golden Guides, Guiders, Commissioners, and more – to participate in the Competition. The winning entry may be featured in our 110th Anniversary promotional materials.

Mission & Vision of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS)

• Mission: To enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.

• Vision: An equal world where all girls can thrive. By 2032 we will be a girl-led Movement where every and any girl feels confident to lead and empowered to create a better world together.

Entry Requirements

1. Submit a bilingual slogan (in both Traditional Chinese & English), with a maximum of 10 words for each language. 
2. Each participant can only submit ONE entry. 
3. The slogan must:
   • reflect the mission and vision of the WAGGGS; and
   • highlight the theme of the 110th Anniversary celebration.
4. The entry must be original, not containing any material that is copied, adapted, or translated from existing slogans, publications, or online sources. 

5. Artificial intelligence (AI) generated slogans are prohibited.

Judging Criteria 

• Originality: 40%
• Relevance: 20%
• English & Chinese Slogan Consistency: 20%
• Creativity: 20%

Awards

• The Three best entries will be selected.
• The results will be announced in December 2025.
• Winners will be invited to the award presentation at the 110th Anniversary Annual Parade on 1st February 2026.
• Each participant will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Remarks

• The winning entries will be selected by the panel of judging panel. Their decision shall be final.
• The HKGGA reserves the right to edit, translate, modify, and use wholly or partly of the submissions.
• The HKGGA has the right to amend the rules at any time at its sole discretion. In case of a dispute, the decision of the HKGGA will be final.
