Learning Goal​

Members express their gratefulness to their parents through making a small gift.  

Instructions​

Game 1: Tissue flowers for mothers

 

Instructions:

  1. Cut eight sheets of tissue papers in flower shape. Staple together the stack of flower at the centre.
  2. Scrunch up the first flower layer to the center. Repeat with each layer and then fluff back out to form flower.

 

Game 2: Photo puzzles for fathers

 

Instructions:

  1. For each puzzle, lay out a series of 16 popsicle sticks so that the sticks are touching. To prevent shifting/sliding, you could place a piece of scotch tape across the sticks.
  2. Put a family photo over the top and stick together with the popsicle sticks. Then, apply the top with a light coat and let dry.
  1. Write down “Happy Father's Day” at the back, but write “FATHER” vertically. Write down the characteristics of fathers by using the first letter of each word, see example below:

  1. Use a cutter to cut in between each popsicle stick.

☑ My path, my pace – To encourage members to express their love and gratefulness to their parents during Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

☑ Learning by doing – Members not only express their gratefulness to parents during festivals, but also contribute more in daily life, e.g. giving gifts to parents.
