🌟Let's Connect and Grow G&H💞

Aims:
This social service program aims to provide Girl Guides with opportunities to take on leadership and planning roles, cultivating their empathy while improving the welfare of underprivileged children and building connections with other children in the community. Through these community service experiences, Girl Guides will learn to understand the needs of others, contribute to society, and fulfill the mission of “being a responsible citizen in the world”.

Content:
The target group consists of children living in transitional housing. The Girl Guides will transform into little mentors, leading these children on an unforgettable journey, allowing them to experience the power of teamwork and the joy of life through games and learning.

One Session of Sharing Details of the Service Project:
Icebreaker games will be conducted to familiarize the group members, followed by planning training to understand the key points for leading activities for children and more details about the program.

Four Sessions of Interactive Activities:
The Girl Guides will take on leadership roles to engage with the children from transitional housing in activities that include cooperative group games, learning Girl Guides campfire songs, or collaboratively planning an itinerary for a day trip in Hong Kong.

One day tour and Over-night Residential Camp:
Explore Hong Kong's beautiful scenery and culture, strengthen friendships, and reflect on the outcomes of the activities.

Fee:
This Service Project is one of the Innovative Social Programmes organized by the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association under “Jockey Club Badges: Preparing for Tomorrow’s Leaders Programme”. The whole Service Project is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and is free of charge (including meal costs for a day trip and camping fees).
