Youth Sing and Shine: Group Dancing and Singing Course is a Taster Programme organized by the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association under “Jockey Club Badges: Preparing for Tomorrow’s Leaders Programme”. The course is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and is free of charge.

Course Tutor

The Association is very honored to have Ms. Vikki Tong (Teacher Vikki), the famous singer of the classical children's song 《夢中天使》("Angel in Dreams"), and her team of professional instructors to design course contents and teach for this course. Miss Tong and her professional team of instructors will impart their professional talents to the participants of this course.

 

 

Contents of the Course

1. Singing lessons:

It mainly teaches advanced singing skills of pop songs, improves the singing level of participants through simple and easy-to-understand training, and teaches dancing and singing skills.

 

2. Dance lessons:

It mainly teaches K-pop dancing skills, dances with powerful music rhythms, and strengthens participants' mastery of music and rhythm and the skills of group dancing.

 

The course is conducted in Cantonese

Interview and audition time

(1) All applicants must attend interviews and auditions. Applicants can choose a song of no more than 5 minutes or a dance of no more than 5 minutes to perform in the audition.

(2) Applicants must record singing or dancing music on a USB that can be opened by Windows so that it can be played at the audition site. Applicants may also bring their own speakers or musical instruments to perform.

(3) Interview and audition time

      Applicants should reserve time to attend interviews and auditions.

(4) If applicants pass the audition, they will be successfully admitted. Successful applicants will receive individual notifications by email and whatsapp before 1^st November, 2024 (Friday). Applicants who have not been offered admission will also receive an email notification.

After completing the training course, we will try our best to arrange participants to perform various types of performances and joint performances with participants of the Pop Band Course in appropriate activities and platforms.
