Stage 3: Leadership Master

Creating the future: Use the leadership mindsets to plan community service projects. Upon completion of this stage, participants will receive a pin and earn the title of Leadership Master. Outstanding performers of the final presentation will earn the title Leadership Champion.

 

Leadership Champion - Stage 3: Leadership Master has officially launched!

 

Due to the pandemic situation, the programme format of Stage 3: Leadership Master has from its original plan of completing a final presentation, to the submission of a community service project proposal. All Brownies, Guides and Rangers who have completed Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the challenge are eligible to participate in Stage 3. Details of Stage 3: Leadership Master are as follows:

Target Participants

All Brownies, Guides and Rangers who have completed Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the challenge are eligible to participate. 

 

Remarks: 

  • Participants who have not completed Stage 1:
    • Participants can complete Stage 1 by completing the required activities during unit meetings, with their Guider's signature on the Leadership Champion Logbook. The programme logbook can be downloaded here.
  • Participants who have not completed Stage 2:
    • Note: There are currently no English-speaking workshops for Stage 2. Should there be any enquiries, feel free to contact Denis Yik at 2359 6878.
Participation Format
  • Participants must submit the community service project proposal in order to complete Stage 3. 
  • Participants may submit the proposal individually or in groups. After submitting the proposal, the Organising Committee (Leadership Architects) will review the proposal and revert with 2 rounds of comments at most. Participants are expected to revise and re-submit their proposal based on the comments received.
  • Participants are also required to complete a personal reflection in their logbook. With the Leadership Architect's approval, participants will be able to officially complete Stage 3: Leadership Master.
Proposal Structure 

Content & Structure

 

The proposal must include the following sections:

  • Project name of the community service project
  • Proposed content of the community service project, such as:
    • Service targets
    • Social issue to target / solve
    • Project preparation materials and other points to note
  • Application of the 6 Leadership Mindsets in different sections of the proposal, such as:
    • Proposal drafting / Project brainstorming
    • Community service content

 

There are no requirements in terms of word and page count for the proposal. The Organising Committee (Leadership Architects) has created a“Toolkit”, which includes different reflection and thinking frameworks and assets. Participants are welcome to apply the tools shared in the Toolkit to complete their proposal via the link here

Method of Submission

The Leadership Champion challenge echoes with the Guiding Education Methods and encourages participants to have“my path, my pace”. As such, there will be no submission deadline for the proposal submission of Stage 3. Participants can submit their proposal anytime.

 

To encourage more participants to submit their proposals and complete Stage 3 and the entire Leadership Champion challenge earlier, all participants who submit their proposal and reflection (in the Logbook) on or before 31 December 2022 will receive a badge.

 

Participants shall  submit the proposals by email. The email address for submission is tpg@hkgga.org.hk. Please specify your full name, unit number and contact email in the email. If the proposal is completed as a group, please include the names, unit number and contact email of all teammates in the email.

 

Remarks:

  • Participants who have completed Stage 3 and the entire Leadership Champion programme will receive a participation certificate.
  • Participants with outstanding performance in Stage 3 will receive the title of“Leadership Champion” and a certificate of outstanding performance.
